Learn How To Meditate
So, you want to learn how to meditate? Meditation can be regarded as a sort of rest after a day’s hard work or visualization of your thoughts deep inside. Different areas and customs formed different sorts of meditation during thousands of years’ history. Different cultures have different meditation, so it is not easy to say clearly what meditation is and how it functions. Meditation can guide you, give you a rest, make your desire visualized, make your spirit satisfied; it has so many uses that when you just step into its world, you will feel confused.
The central thing we should keep in mind is to fix on here and now. Our mind is not settled right now, right here on occasion. After learning, we will adapt ourselves to face what is going on in real circumstances.
So, if this is what meditation does, then , where did we pay our attention in daily life? Here are four answers available:
The past- wanting what has happened happen gain, or not
The future- imagining the future to be hopeful or fearful
Judgments of others – giving good or bad comments on people around yourself
Marking ourselves – labeling ourselves according to the advantages and disadvantages we have
Our minds tend to be taken away by the four things stated above. When you learn how to meditate, you are doing nothing more than constantly pulling your attention away from these four things and placing it back in the present moment.
Want have a good beginning in meditation? Just do this. Leave yourself 5-10 minutes in a place without noise and pressure. You should not see, and pay attention to your breath. Get curious about your breath and just watch it? What is your breathe fluency? Just the point between them, can you hold it and pour your attention into it?
Your mind will naturally wander. Bad feelings are unnecessary in this process. Whenever you catch yourself thinking of anything other than the present, simply take your attention and place it back in the present moment. Keep processing for a while, and begin to see the world and come back to the world generally when you feel it is ok. After that, your energy seems coming back.
When you learn how to meditate, you are embarking on a wonderful world of self-discovery. With the process going on, you will know more about yourself, what shares your attention and your desires.
